Privacy Policy

HomeSound (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is a live music discovery platform for Western New York and the Finger Lakes, available at homesound.live and through our mobile applications. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Account information. When you create an account we collect your email address, display name, and optional profile photo. If you sign in with a third-party provider (such as Google or Facebook), we receive the basic profile information that provider shares.

Preferences and activity. We store your favorite artists, venues, and events, your saved shows, genre preferences, notification settings, and searches so we can personalize your experience.

Promoter information. If you register as a promoter, we collect the business or artist details you provide to verify page ownership, along with the events and campaigns you create.

Payment information. Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number — we only receive confirmation of payment and subscription status from Stripe.

Usage data. Like most websites, we automatically collect standard technical data such as IP address, browser type, device information, and pages viewed, used for security and to improve the product.

• To provide the service — showing you upcoming shows, saving favorites, sending event reminders you request
• To personalize recommendations (suggested shows, news articles, and artists based on your interests)
• To process subscriptions and payments through Stripe
• To send transactional emails such as account confirmations and promoter approval notices
• To keep the platform safe — preventing spam, fraud, and abuse

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

We rely on a small number of service providers to run HomeSound:

• Supabase — database, authentication, and file storage
• Stripe — payment processing
• Resend — transactional email delivery
• Vercel — website hosting

Event, artist, and venue imagery may be loaded from public sources such as Spotify, Google Places, and venue websites. News articles link to their original publishers.

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and remember your session. We do not use third-party advertising cookies. You can clear cookies at any time in your browser settings; note that signing in requires them.

We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Privacy, which permanently removes your profile, favorites, and preferences. Some records (such as payment history) may be retained where required by law.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete the personal information we hold about you. Contact us at the address below and we will respond within 30 days.

HomeSound is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this policy from time to time. When we make material changes we will update the effective date above and, for significant changes, notify you by email or in-app notice.
